Privacy Policy

The short version: your files are processed to do the job you asked for, removed by processing cleanup and scheduled cleanup, and never sold, shared for marketing, or used to train anything. Here is the full picture.

What happens to uploaded files

When you use a tool, your file is transferred over an encrypted TLS connection to the getPDFpress server, processed, and returned to you. Temporary files are removed after processing where supported. A cleanup job runs every 30 minutes and removes files older than 30 minutes; leftovers can therefore remain for roughly an hour during normal operation. This is not a guaranteed deletion deadline. There is no account system, so files are never linked to a profile of you.

PDF to Word and Word to PDF send documents to ConvertAPI. PDF compression can also send a document to ConvertAPI when the native compression attempt does not reach its target and that fallback is configured. Merge-to-500KB includes this compression step. Provider processing is subject to its own retention practices; our server cleanup schedule does not describe provider retention. For documents that must remain on your device or avoid third-party processing, use an offline tool instead.

Please do not upload documents you are not authorized to process.

What we log

Standard server logs record technical events: request times, tool used, file sizes, and error messages. Logs do not include file contents. We use these to keep the service healthy and debug problems.

Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate usage: which pages are visited, which tools are used, and roughly where visitors come from. Analytics uses cookies and collects standard technical data such as browser type and approximate location. Google uses IP addresses during collection to derive location; GA4 does not log or store individual IP addresses. It never receives the contents or names of files you process. You can block analytics with standard browser tools and every tool on this site will continue to work normally.

Advertising

Advertising is not currently enabled. If ads are added in the future, this policy will be updated first to describe the ad provider and any additional data collection.

Cookies

The only cookies in use are those set by Google Analytics, described above. The tools themselves work without any cookies.

Your choices

  1. Use the tools without an account: that is the only way we offer them.
  2. Block analytics: everything still works.
  3. Avoid Word conversion and compression tools if you do not want a third-party processor involved.
