Our Commitment to Privacy
getPDFpress is built with privacy as a core principle. Your files are processed on secure servers and automatically deleted after processing. We never store your documents long-term, sell them, or use them for anything other than completing the conversion you requested.
Data Collection
Files You Upload
- Browser processing: When possible, files are processed entirely in your browser and never leave your device.
- Server processing: For server-side operations, files are uploaded, processed, and immediately deleted after download or within 1 hour, whichever comes first.
- No storage: We do not store, analyze, or retain your files.
- No human access: No humans ever see your files. All processing is automated.
Analytics Data
We use privacy-friendly analytics (Google Analytics with IP anonymization) to understand:
- Number of visitors
- Which tools are most popular
- General geographic location (country/city level)
- Device type and browser
We do NOT track: Individual users, email addresses, or personal information.
Cookies
We use minimal cookies for:
- Analytics (Google Analytics)
- Remembering your dark mode preference (optional)
Third-Party Services
- Google Analytics: Website analytics with IP anonymization
- Hosting Provider: Hostinger and Render.com for infrastructure
- ConvertAPI: Some conversions (PDF ↔ Word, and certain compressions) are processed via ConvertAPI, a document conversion service. Files sent to ConvertAPI are deleted from their servers after processing per their privacy policy.
Data Security
- All connections use HTTPS encryption
- Files are processed in isolated, temporary containers
- Automatic file deletion after processing
- No user accounts = no password breaches
Your Rights
Since we don't collect personal information or store files, there's no personal data to access, modify, or delete. You maintain full control over your files at all times.
